I can't believe that these are the only two pictures that I snapped! I usually WAY over-take pictures so that I can make sure I get some really good ones. Oh well, two is better than none! LOL
To my surprise, I got a call from Marissa's teacher on Friday with a postive report. Mrs. Quinn said that Marissa is adjusting to first grade well and wanted to know if I had any questions. I thought it was nice of her to call. Is it normal to get a positive report from a teacher? I only thought that they called when there was something wrong, at least that was they way it was when I was growing up. My mom is a retired teacher, and I don't remember her talking about calling a parent unless she needed permission to spank them! LOL

Marissa is in 1st grade!
Marissa started first grade on September 2, 2008. She is extremely thrilled with both her teacher and her classmates....she has 3 close friends in her class. I am double-minded about that because I want her to have friends, but I also want her to be able to concentrate on her school studies. There has to be a balance there, I guess. She just needs to find it, with a little help from mom :) Here she is on the first day....

LOL, that's too funny about the spanking thing :o) We have had Felicity's teacher send home reports on how she is doing, but hasn't called yet. I think that it's a sign of a good teacher to keep the parents informed though! I hope she is loving 1st grade!
