So my dear husband got home from Japan this afternoon. He walks in the door, gives us all hugs and looks around and says "OH MAN!". He left the gifts he had gotten for Marissa and Jolene on the plane. Poor guy was so tired that he totally forgot about them. He was on the phone for at least an hour trying to get ahold of Northwest to see if the bag had been turned in. They took our phone number and told us that we should expect a call from the luggage people. Well, we hadn't heard from them and it was getting late. I needed to go to Joann's and get some thread for an eBay layout I am working on (yep, ran out right in the middle of sewing on the page, yuck.) So, we all hopped in the car and ran my errands and then took the 45 minute drive to the airport. Well, it was a total waste of time and gas because they did not have the bag. Someone from Northwest (whether flight crew or cleaning crew) is being dishonest and has STOLEN the gifts for the girls! Navjoat said he had only spent about $50 US on them, but that is still a lot of money to just "throw down the drain", so to speak. I'm bummed and so is he, but the girls have not complained about not getting gifts, bless their hearts...they are such good girls!
